Fighting Inflation & Spending Tax Dollars Wisely
The Council is responsible for overseeing and approving state spending, state contracts, and implementation of programs. Joe is a common sense voice who knows that tax dollars are your dollars. He ensures state spending is efficient and transparent. With the rise of inflation, Joe is working to make sure our state provides the same quality of life without raising taxes on the hardworking folks of District 1. Joe opposes new taxes, fees and tolls as they hurt the middle class the most.
Economic Development & Housing
Councilor Kenney is a leading voice for our economic growth in District 1. He assists businesses with navigating the bureaucracy of state government, he advocates for an economic environment that keeps NH attractive to job creators and employers, and he's a champion for increasing our housing supply to attract and retain working families who are critical to the future of New Hampshire.
Public Safety
The safety and security of our communities is critical. Councilor Kenney is fighting to keep our Northern border secure, our law enforcement funded, and our neighborhoods safe. You can count on Joe to stand with law enforcement and enhance public safety and he supports Northern Border Patrols and providing our North Country law enforcement with the infrastructure and equipment to keep us safe. Joe is a staunch supporter of the 2nd amendment and your right to defend yourself, your family, and your property.
Veterans Services
A Veteran of three conflicts: Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and Iraq Wars, Joe understands we must give back to those who served. This means access to healthcare, good paying jobs, and mental health services. Joe was proud to support funding to the new Veterans Campus in Franklin which is under construction. He further supports the ongoing efforts of the NH Veteran’s Home in Tilton.
A Clean Environment
Our clean air, clear water, beautiful mountains and green forests are the lifeblood of District 1's economy. Joe knows the importance of protecting our lakes from cyanobacteria and milfoil. Joe is committed to protecting our natural resources for his constituents, advocating for our outdoor recreation, and supporting New Hampshire's tourism economy.
Better Student Outcomes
Joe is a supporter of all students and fights for better student outcomes. A good education is critical to the success of our young people. A healthy education system attracts young families and the workforce of tomorrow. Parents should have the choice of a public, home school, or a charter school education that fits the needs of their children.
Assisting People with Disabilities
Joe supports the developmentally disabled community in New Hampshire. Joe wants to make sure every person has the opportunity and resources to live a productive life, and to pursue their happiness and place in life.
